Episode 1 - Masterclass Podcast Series: PR Leads to Future Opportunities in Agribusiness and Food Production

Agribusinesses need to seize opportunities and Public Relations can help them do that. They also have stakeholders and issues that need to be constantly managed.

The Australian Government has allocated $15bn towards improvements in productivity. How is your agribusiness positioned to engage with key stakeholders in 2024?

According to the Australian Government’s Department of Agriculture, Western Australia exported a record $15.5 billion of agricultural, fisheries and Forestry (AFF) products in 2022. This was led by wheat ($5.5bn), barley ($1.9bn), wool ($718m) and sheep meat ($624m). The total value of WA AFF exports were 68% higher in 2022, than the average yearly figures collated from 2019 to 2021.

Furthermore, there is an unbelievable opportunity to improve productivity in WA horticulture, perhaps to increase the current $1.5bn per annum figure by six times, or more by incorporating global technology. - Managing Director Cate Rocchi
