Perth Media, founded in August 2015, is owned by former finance reporter Cate Rocchi. Prior to that she operated a small company, Cate Rocchi Communications, from 2012-2015 in Western Australia.
At Perth Media, Cate is a media liaison and PR strategy specialist. She is a highly skilled editor, news photographer, writer, copywriter, corporate storyteller and script writer. Cate also conducts informative interviews for podcasts, trains clients in TV, radio and print media and is an expert in social media for business. She has presented workshops on crucial media tips and content creation and written blogs and speeches for business leaders.
Cate trained on The Kalgoorlie Miner as a reporter and has been a journalist in Australia for Aspermont’s Australia’s Mining Monthly and The Countryman newspaper in Perth. In the past, she has worked overseas for some of the world’s largest financial publishing houses including Hedge Fund Intelligence’s Eurohedge and Incisive Media’s International Investment and Hedge Funds Review in London and Haymarket’s Asian Investor in Hong Kong. Cate has also been a media consultant for Purple Communications (now CanningsPurple) in Perth.

This is very important to Perth Media. Founder Cate Rocchi has been on the board of Linkwest, the peak body for neighbourhood and community resource centres, from 2014-2018. For the past 12 months, she has been chair of the organisation.
Perth Media has supported Team Sunshine (fund raising for Telethon), We Can’t Wait (a ground-breaking program building toilets for girls in India), Farming Champions (highlighting the importance of family farms and agriculture), World Vision and Rafiki Mwema (a refuge for girls in Kenya).
